“Capgemini is a place for people who want to develop and grow, and its culture enables them to make it happen.”

I joined Capgemini in October 2024 as a Senior Application Consultant. As a part of the IFS-Nordics team, we help clients with all parts of their IFS ERP solution setup. Before my employment at Capgemini, I held several positions within the IFS field and have worked in large, complex organizations for over a decade.

What made you decide to apply to and join Capgemini?

I was headhunted for this position. An employee who helped start the IFS team at Capgemini found me on LinkedIn and is now my manager. Today I am so grateful that he contacted me. Because if he hadn’t, I wouldn’t be here today! He gave me the acknowledgement I need to be proud of my accomplishments and to know they matter. I will always be grateful for that. Sometimes, all it takes is someone to believe in you. That can change you, your confidence, and your career forever.

Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

I build, develop, create, maintain, and educate clients on IFS ERP solutions based on their needs. To deliver high-quality work, my team and I are part of the entire cycle, from request to scope, solution analysis, guidance, and suggestions for change to improve to best practices. We work as a team, and even if you are alone on a project, you can always count on your colleagues to help when you need it or to talk about your ideas. It’s really great and very inspiring to work with so many competent people who share a large interest and profound expertise in IFS. It makes you eager to develop your skills and look forward to what’s next.

How does Capgemini support your development?

One of the reasons I joined Capgemini was the opportunity to turn my self-taught skills into real certifications. Now, a year later, I am a certified practitioner in 3 (Soon 4) different areas in the IFS Cloud. It has meant a lot to me to finally prove to myself that I have what it takes to get certified. And now I have a broader range of certifications than most IFS consultants. Then there are the education pathways at Capgemini University, who has the capacity to develop you in almost any direction you wish to go. I have taken a few AI courses, and they are great. At Capgemini University, you also get the opportunity to certify in almost anything in tech. That’s, to me, the true foundation of getting the future you want.

What characterizes the people and culture at Capgemini?

Overall, Capgemini is a place for people who want to develop and grow, and its culture enables them to make it happen. Most companies want employees to continually build their skill sets. But to do so, they need to invest in high-quality, real educational training. At Capgemini, this investment shows itself in practice, not just as empty promises or meaningless words on paper. They have really made this investment. And because of it, I get to work with people on top of their game while also getting better at what I do, exploring and learning new things whenever I want.

What is the best thing about Capgemini?

The possibilities to evolve as a professional. All you need to do is put in the work and ask for help if you need it.

Why should you join Capgemini?

Why shouldn’t you? If you are interested in getting the future you want, and truly invest in yourself and your career – apply! There is really nothing stopping you.
