“I’m proud to be part of an organization that is recognized for its strong commitment to ethical practices, sustainability, and diversity.”

Before joining Capgemini, I studied a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems and System Development at Uppsala University. Through the Capgemini IgnITe graduate program, I was given a strong start in consulting, with access to training, certifications, and resources that supported my growth. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a project from its early stages, growing into the role of lead developer and building strong client relationships along the way.

What made you decide to apply to and join Capgemini?

When I completed my studies, I knew I wanted to keep growing and strengthen my skill set. Capgemini stood out as the perfect place to do that. The graduate program offered a structured learning path along with access to certifications and extensive training resources. I was also excited about the variety of projects and the opportunity to work across different industries and challenges.

Another key reason was my ambition to develop both my technical expertise and my ability to apply them in real-world projects. I wanted to learn how to turn theoretical knowledge into practical solutions that create value for clients. Finally, Capgemini’s commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices aligned strongly with my personal values, which made the decision even more compelling.

What makes you passionate about your work?

What makes me passionate about my work is the impact and responsibility I’ve gained through my current project. Shortly after joining Capgemini, I was invited to take part in a project –  even though the role was different from the one I originally applied for. Accepting that challenge turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made.

The experience has been incredibly rewarding; I’ve learned a lot, grown professionally, and today I serve as the lead developer on the project. I also have a strong, collaborative relationship with the client, which makes the work even more meaningful.

Another reason I’m passionate about my work is that the project was in its early stages when I joined, so I’ve been part of shaping the product from the ground up. Seeing it evolve and knowing I’ve contributed to its success makes it something I’m truly proud of.

How does Capgemini support your development?

Capgemini supports my development in several ways. There is a wide range of learning resources and platforms that allow me to explore topics I’m interested in and gain new certifications. This flexibility makes it easy to continuously grow and adapt my skills.

Equally important is the strong network of experts and colleagues across different domains. The culture of knowledge sharing means I can always reach out, learn from others, and get practical insights that go beyond theory.

What I value most, however, is the support I receive from my manager. My manager encourages me to pursue the areas I’m passionate about and trusts me to take ownership of my ideas. That level of confidence gives me the freedom to develop in the directions I find most meaningful. It’s a big reason why I feel motivated and empowered to become a better consultant and team member.

What characterizes the people and culture at Capgemini is their openness and inclusivity – everyone is welcome, and diversity is truly embraced. Working here means collaborating with colleagues from different cultures and backgrounds, which creates a dynamic and inspiring environment.

This flexibility allows me to perform at my best while also spending quality time with my family, which has been especially important since becoming a parent. It’s a culture that values both professional growth and personal well-being, and that makes a big difference.
